Why does my car shut off ? New alternator and new battery as of now, I jump off the car and let it sit and charge for 10 minutes. I remove the hot cable and it dies down, I've traced the wiring harness from the alternator to the battery and haven't found a showing wire or anything, where do i start?

The output of the charging system should be verified as well as the charge status of the "new" battery. Batteries purchased at retail are not necessarily fully charged so the battery really can’t be ruled out until everything is tested. It is not recommended to continue to attempt to jump start the car as that has risks associated with it both to you and to the car’s electrical system. If the car is not presently starting using its own battery, just simply request a no start diagnostic and a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, will perform the required diagnostic steps and get this resolved. If the car is starting, but stalling immediately, you can request the same no start diagnostic to get this resolved. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.
