Car has been dieing at stops, if I continue to give it a little gas it doesn’t die. I have replaced spark plugs, ignited coils, wires, filter, fuel filter, pcv valve. I replaced the battery today and it has got to the point where as soon as I shift out of park it sputters then dies. Will start right back up. In park it also sputters and acts like it’s going to die but does not.
My car has 118000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi Aaron. Thanks for contacting us tonight. While there are a few components on your list that contribute to idling effectively, there are several that are more critical that are likely dirty or damaged. Some of the possible parts that might be contributing to the stalling include dirty fuel injectors, mass air flow sensor, throttle body that is clogged with carbon deposits or a failed EGR valve. A faulty idle control valve is also a possibility. Instead of chasing repairs and swapping out parts, it’s probably better money spent to have a professional mechanic come to your location and complete a car starts then dies inspection.
