At the shudders, if you try to move them by hand are they lose?
If you disconnect the shudder motor or linkage, do the shudders move without binding up?

I haven't checked to see if they're loose, I'm out of town in another vehicle but once I get back into town which will be on Sunday I'll check the shudders to see if any of those are the problem. I'll keep you posted

Since you were not able to reply to the info request I sent. I cannot be as accurate and thorough as I would like in my answer. I hope what I can provide does help.
Possible causes for this concern can be the shudders are damaged and binding up o the motor that moves them is faulty and not able to move smoothly.
Thank you for seeking us for help, I hope I provided what was needed. Press reply if you need to follow up. If you liked my answer please let me know so I can mark your question complete. Moose

Sounds like the water pump went bad and broke the timing belt and now the engine will not start. Have the engine timing checked and the water pump to see if it is broken.
