Q: What does the AdvanceTrac® Off Light mean on the dash?

While your car’s traction control system is designed to stay on at all times, there may actually be times that you need to turn it off. For instance, turning off the AdvanceTrac® system when you are stuck in mud or other slippery conditions will actually provide better traction. You can turn it off with the AdvanceTrac® Off button on the dash. When you press this, the AdvanceTrac® Off Light in the dash comes on to tell you that the system has been turned off. It will remain on until you either turn the system back on by pressing the Off button again, or you turn off the engine. The system will automatically come back on when you crank the engine the next time.
