The TCM (transmission control module) is part of the mechatronic system that is "inside" the transmission.
To access& replace it you would nee to remove the transmission oil sump. There is no need to remove the whole transmission it can be done with the transmission installed in the car.

What spring are your referring to?
You would need to remove the electrical connector and sealing sleeve.
Then remove all bolts that hold the mechatronic to the transmission.
