Where is a good place to tap a vacuum line for boost gauge on Audi Q5 2.0t

Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be helping you with your question today. I've been working on Audis for over 30 years now, so I should be able to help you through this. Please understand that some of my suggestions may require special diagnostic tools and equipment that many home mechanics may not have, but are often required. **Also, the site automatically prompts for a phone call. It's very rare that I'm available by phone, so let's hold off on that for now. If needed after we exchange some information, I will do my best to take the time for the call.** Actually the best option, and the cleanest option is this part from 034. I've used these a lot on various TFSI 2.0s [https://store.034motorsport.com/intake-manifold-boost-tap-2-0t-fsi-tfsi-tsi.html](https://store.034motorsport.com/intake-manifold-boost-tap-2-0t-fsi-tfsi-tsi.html) Please let me know if this helps, or if you need any further info

Ok yeah I jus ordered that waiting on it to get here Monday .
Automotive Expert
Cool. Yeah, nice product and fits perfectly

But is there a different vacuum line that would suffice until that arrives ?
Automotive Expert
You could try to tee into the intake manifold actuator

Ok I’ll try that . I also Order the pressure sensor from Bosch assuming Bosch makes the pressure sensors for Audi hopefully it has the same part number this time hopefully that fixes the boost problemOne more question and I’ll let ya go . What is the cheapest vag com setup that still is worth purchasing

Awesome thank u

very glad to help!

Another questionI hooked up my boost gauge it’s showing I have around 10 psi which I believe is low being that I have stage one tune . I have not been on the highway yet jus low rpm . I did a test for dv valve and it worked when I tried to test the n75 valve it failed so I ordered an new one . The boost pressure sensor is no longer throwing a code . The n75 would cause low boost and jerky acceleration and low power. Correct ?
Automotive Expert
Yes on all of those. Odd though, since the fault you posted on the initial session didn't indicate a failed N75 at all.

Not at allBut while trying to test it thru the scanner it was unable
Automotive Expert
Got it

Boost gauge while driving is reading almost 18 psi The new sensors should be here tomorrow I tried to unhook the n75 And drive to see if it would build in spool like before still la is a lot of power
Automotive Expert
Yeah, 18psi is more like it with a tune.

Gauge says it’s there but still lacks a lot like a whole lotAlso hear the diverter valve I’m guessing flutter under acceleration but like I said before I’ve checked that and I don’t see any tears in the diaphragm and it’s not stuck because I tested that with the scanner also and I can hear it actuating could it be possible that that is bad also or is that too much of a coincidence for both sensors in the diverter valve to be bad
Automotive Expert
Well, let's see what happens when you have the right parts on there.

Is there any other tests I can run or say I change these and it’s still under powered . What’s the next thing u would look into .Also I appreciate the help . This sucks pretty bad . Especially being a car guy usually built Honda’s and being the first Audi I get it’s a diff animal when it comes to diagnosing the issue .
Automotive Expert
I think if there are further problems after getting those parts in, then the next step is to get a proper scan tool, so that we can pick up ALL the faults, and perform some live data logging if needed This is the tool: [https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/vchv2\_ent/](https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/vchv2_ent/)

Ok sounds good and yea my bday is this month and already sent that link to the old lady
Automotive Expert
good move

Parts should be here mon and tues . I will let you know what happens after install . Thanks again
Automotive Expert
sounds good, glad to help

Hey buddy
Automotive Expert
I'm on but only briefly today

Ok .

Continued question about the boost gauge tap?

I installed the n75 and new boost pressure sensor . The car is still lacking power . And spool is still to a minimum. Should I check the waste gate for movement with someone hitting acceleratorShould I start new question
Automotive Expert
Yep, that would be best, \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* won't be able to get that far into it until later in the afternoon. I will say for sure that VCDS or other non-generic OBD2 scan tool is likely going to be needed now

Ok will u be available after 6pm
Automotive Expert
I should be, yeah

Ok I will message u then.
Automotive Expert
sounds good
