Please understand that some of my suggestions may require special diagnostic tools and equipment that many home mechanics may not have, but are often required. So, my first question is whether you're planning on performing your own repairs, or are you wanting to be armed with information before bringing it into your mechanic? **Also, the site automatically prompts for a phone call. If needed after we exchange some information, I will do my best to take the time for the call.** Couple of points/questions - first, I'm in Buffalo, so I understand lot of snow - have you had a chance to have the engine control module scanned for fault codes yet? - is the shaking coming from say a wheel or tire, or more from the engine?

Since I haven't heard back, I can only offer general information based on the symptoms you describe. Typically in these cars, engine shaking or misfiring out of the blue is due to a failed ignition coil. In these cases, I do recommend a full set of OE coils and NGK 1675 spark plugs.
