Hi Travis. If you have multiple electrical warning lights on the dashboard after completing a camshaft position sensor replacement, and the battery terminals were not removed - it’s likely that these warning lights are triggered by an electrical short. It’s also possible that when the battery was connected, an electrical short triggered these codes and stored them in the ECU. To clear these codes, and verify that you don’t have major system problems, you’ll have to have a professional mechanic come to your location and complete a warning light inspection.

How do I check the coolant level?
Checking the coolant level in your vehicle is an important part of maintenance. It also can be done in just a few steps. Make sure your vehicle has been turned off long enough that it is no longer hot. Pop...
Heater only blowing cold air.
This symptom is usually due to a low coolant level. Restrictions in the cooling system or air can also cause this same issue. I would first start by ensuring that your coolant is at its proper level. If the coolant...
Heater not heating
The heater needs for the engine to be warm, and the temperature blend door to open, in order to direct heat to the passenger compartment from the AC side. If the radiator was plugged, then the engine may be overheating....
Charging system failure???????
It depends on the tools you have. If you have a voltmeter, then you can check the voltage at the battery posts (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-a-car-battery) when the engine is running. When you do this, make sure that you turn on the normal...

Coolant temperature overheats when driving
Hi, thanks for writing in. This can be caused by a number of things such as low coolant levels, a faulty thermostat (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-thermostat), or a failing coolant fan switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-thermo-coolant-fan-switch). As you may know the coolant fan switch helps to...
My vehicle won't accelerate, then it will?
Hi Dennis. Assuming, the check engine light is not coming on, leads me to believe the ECM (engine control module)/computer is not recognizing the fault. The most likely cause is, a faulty ETC (electronic throttle control) throttle body (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-body-replacement). This...
Serpentine belt is rubbing on the engine cover at the belt tensioner pulley 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
Hi there - I would start by doing a visual inspection of the serpentine belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/why-serpentine-belt-replacements-on-cars-with-limited-clearance-can-be-tricky-by-marvin-sunderland), and the pulleys - are they visually in line? If not, which pulley is out of line in the direction of the engine cover?...
