If the engine light is on, there will be diagnostic trouble codes stored in the ECU. If you have an OBDII code reader available to you and can write down the codes we can start to get the problem narrowed down. If you don’t have a code reader available then you, lost auto parts stores like autozone will read the codes for you at no charge.
