Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I have over 21 years of experience in this field. I'm so sorry for your inconvenience and hopefully, I can help. These vehicles has a pick up coil inside the distributor that usually goes bad. When the car shuts off check if it is getting spark, if you are not getting spark when it doesn't want to start then the distributor is no good. You can either change the whole distributor or the coil inside the distributor.

I'm getting spank after it dies it's more of a fuel issueThe car is getting spank after it dies it's more of a fuel issue

It should have a small bolt on the fuel filter to see if it is not getting fuel when it shuts off. Have you ever replaced the fuel pump. Make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump when it shuts off, If the main relay is not from factory, they have been known to come defective.

It's not defective I tested it alreadyI've never replaced the fuel pump I've read that the fuel pump rarely ever goes out
Automotive Expert
Is true but no ever. When it shuts off remove the small bolt on the fuel filter and if no fuel is coming out, replace the fuel pump, strainer and fuel filter.

Okay I'll try that but I'm only having the issue after I drive a few miles
Automotive Expert
Yes, it can be shorting out after it heats up.

The fuel pump shorting out after it heats up
Automotive Expert
Yes, the other two stuff is just maintenance.

Okay I will try that first thing tomorrow thanks

You are very welcome.

Hello. This is likely a loose terminal or corroded battery connection. It sounds simple, but something like this can easily cut all power...
