1996 Ford Windstar 125,000 mile service at the convenience of your home or office

Broken exterior drivers door handle, interconnected with the electric lock system, made access impossible. A true Ford design debacle, in my opinion. Car had to remain unlocked at all times to gain access since Ford only offers one door (drivers side) with a key. If locked, you had to enter through the trunk. Andrew brought several handle options to cover all bases. As it turned out, a complete new handle was not actually needed, although he had to take the entire door panel apart to discover the real problem. Several twists and turns were encountered, all of which he handled expertly and with good humor. Both time and cost expanded slightly, but totally in line with the unforeseen problems, and all was completely controlled by Andrew during the repair. The end result was a fully functional system. A skilled craftsman was sent and a skilled craftsman fixed the problem, in spite of the Ford design engineers.

Excellent & Efficient Mechanic! Joe was quick to figure that there was a problem with the fuel pressure. The fuel pump was replaced two weeks ago, so that was ruled out. He discovered a probable short in the wiring to the pump. The van will need to be on a lift to find it. Joe also suggested first having the fuel line pressurized and cleared and that strange non factory wiring that might be the cause of the short to be checked. That was very thorough work. He did a great job of getting the van ready for a garage with a lift to diagnose. I am confident that his expertise will save me more headache and unnecessary spending of money. I now know what to ask for and expect from a garage, Thanks Joe!
