Need to know if a 1998 Silverado gas tank will fit my 2000 chevy Silverado?

The main issue to consider in this case would be the length of the bed on each truck. The 78" (short bed) is the same on model years 1998 to 2000. The same goes for the 96" (long bed). As long as you are swapping short bed to short bed or long bed to long bed, the tank should fit.
