Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement $120.83 - $900.50 Get a Quote

The crankshaft position sensor should be located right next to the crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer. A crankshaft position sensor is an electronic device used to monitor the position or rotational speed of the crankshaft. This information is used by engine management systems to control the fuel injection or the ignition system timing and other engine parameters. When this is faulty or not working properly, this will cause problems with the ignition system and generating spark transmission to the spark plugs resulting in starting problems and other performance issues causing misfires. I would recommend having an expert from YourMechanic come to your location to diagnose and inspect your vehicle.

Recommendation on choosing an SUV to buy--Honda CR-V or RAV 4
Yes, but a Rav 4 (https://www.yourmechanic.com/scheduled-maintenance/toyota-rav4/) without a doubt would outlast it by far. I'd buy the Rav 4. They are going to last longer. Hello, thank you for writing in. The throttle position sensor does not take inputs from anything, but instead it acts as an input to the ECU (the main computer). The ECU then uses it for engine performance. The sensor's resistance...
