Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* to Just Answer! I will be assisting you with your questions today. Give me one moment while I review this.

Hi Ron, thank you
Automotive Expert
I’m very sorry that you’re having this issue and together, we will get this figured out. I will need your help too because I can’t see, touch, hear or smell anything that’s going on with your vehicle. We may also require some specialized testing tools in order to assist us in diagnosing the problems due to the complexity of today’s vehicles. JA will offer a phone call to you at an additional fee, it’s your choice. Please be patient with my replies, I reply back in question order received. If I send you an attachment, I will tell you, BUT, you will NOT get it on a phone; you must be on a tablet or PC. Please let me know when you are satisfied with my answers too so we can close out your question. Misfires will set codes in the computer, so please check that first. Other than coils and plugs fuel and compression are additional reasons for misfires. We need to get freeze frame data for the set codes as well as MODE 6 misfire data from the scan tool. This data will get us much closer to the reason for the misfires. Some parts stores will loan/rent out this tool to you. Thanks again and all the best:) Ron Please feel free to text me back if you need anymore help. Thanks again and be well:) Ron

thank you for your advice! i have a OBD bit it only shows a blank screen when i install it onto the car
Automotive Expert
You're welcome. Try your tool on another car too to see if it works. If it does, then our problems are deeper with a communication issue. Thanks again and best of luck:) Ron

Thank you! I will try that on my van
Automotive Expert
You're welcome, thank you too. Ron

I have just attempted it onto my van, and the machine is still displaying a lit up, but information blank screen
Automotive Expert
Then your tool isn't working. Some parts stores may loan you at least a code reader. Thanks again. Ron

Hi Ron, I have got a new OBD which give a result of multiple Misfires on the ignition coils. I think it might have something to do with the wiring as it’s looking a little rogue under there. I Haven’t attempted to touch it yet, not sure if it’s also the spark plugs ?? Hard to know. Thanks Archie
Automotive Expert
Hi Archie, If you can get me the freeze frame data for the codes and MODE 6 misfire data, that may help. Thanks again, Ron

Hi Ron, hopefully these would be able to help you, help me out on this one...
Automotive Expert
No help there, STILL need MODE 6. Ron

Hi Ron, i'm really sorry i don't seem to know what that is :/ do not worry, you have been really helpful, and i appreciate your time helping me. Thank you, Archie
Automotive Expert
You're welcome Archie, thank you too. MODE 6 is another function of a scan tool. Code readers will not have this mode if that's what you're using, but look in the menu anyway to check and see. Ron

Ahh i see, the model i have is not as advanced! so thats all the information i can gather. im going to have a little play, and hope i do not do more bad than good.thank you!
