Hello Eamon. Nice to hear from you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating.
Is this locking issue occurring only when using the key fob or does it also occur when using the interior lock and unlock buttons?

Without knowing all of the information like the vehicle history, the components that have been tested or replaced, and the results of any tests that need to be run, I can only give you a general answer to your question.
I recommend checking all fuses in all fuse panels to see if any of the fuses are found to be blown in any way needing to be replaced. If all of the fuses are found to be o.k. and if all of the central locking stopped working at the same time, this can indicate a fault with the body computer/ECU internally to where it has failed electronically and has to be replaced.
I recommend having the body computer tested and checked using a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that is able to read all of the computers in your vehicle to see if any codes come up. If any codes come up they will need to be diagnosed to pinpoint and repair this issue. Electrical testing will need to be performed as well to verify that the body computer is in fact at fault needing to be replaced.
This type of testing can cost around $100. The cost to replace the faulty body computer can cost around $500 in some cases and has to be set up and programmed by a dealer when it is installed.

I think what you might be referring to is an oil filter adaptor that is leaking. The oil filter adaptor will bolt on to the engine block and the oil filter will screw on to the adaptor allowing the oil to...
If you were getting O2 sensor codes, and you are losing power, then you may need to check to see if the fuel pressure is low or the fuel filter is getting clogged (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-fuel-filter). These both can cause the engine...
Thanks for writing in about your 2013 Audi Allroad Quattro. Unfortunately, this is an ongoing issue with Audi currently related to their electronic lane assist function. Audi is aware of the issue. I would recommend seeing your nearest dealer for...
You may want to get a second opinion before replacing the entire harness. You could start by first checking and cleaning the mass air flow sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/mass-airflow-sensor-replacement) of any dirt and oils. The sensor will cause the loss of power...
Hi, thanks for writing in. Usually when your tire pressure monitoring system has an issue, it is due to one of the sensors in the wheels. If it is not due to one of the sensors in the wheels I...
Hello. The engine swap you are inquiring about would require heavy customization, and for this reason is not a service we would be able to provide. The 2JZGTE is a rear wheel drive motor, designed to be longitudinally mounted, and...
Hi there. Check the Idle Air Control valve (IAC) and see if it's sticking or not working. The IAC valve controls the engine's idle and keeps the engine at an optimal operating speed when the throttle is pushed or not....
Hello. Depending on exactly where the short was it may not blow the fuse. Most of the time it will melt the resistor itself internally. It may also have a short in another location. I usually take a voltage meter...
Hi there. Unfortunately, the P0430 OBD-II trouble code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0430-obd-ii-trouble-code-catalyst-system-efficiency-below-threshold-bank-2-by-spencer-clayton) is not something that would cause excessive coolant usage. The P0430 code is set when the ECU detects below threshold performance from the catalytic converter. The ECU monitors the catalytic converter...
