I drove my vehicle to the store I turned it off. I came back to start the vehicle it wouldn't start. I was close to the auto zone they checked my battery says it was low. They tried charging but it wouldn't charge. I bought a new battery the car started right up. I started driving the car the battery light came on and I started smelling a bad odor. I came home lifted up the hood and seen that the Alternator was smoking. I am guessing it is bad. Just trying to figure which one I should purchase.
My car has 78000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi Albert. Thanks for contacting us today. In a case where you’re needing to replace an alternator, it’s always best to ask for an OEM replacement. The alternator is one of those parts, where installing an aftermarket alternator can cause compatibility issues with other parts that make up the charging system. You might want to have a professional mechanic replace this part for you at your location. You can request an estimate to have one of our mobile mechanics complete this for you by clicking this link.
