DO you have any fault codes? because a fan fault for the battery can effect starting?
did you touch the orange battery disconnect switch at any point? if so when reinstalled you have to slide it straight down and it makes a click.

If it was starting fine prior to your work. I'd suspect a poor connection of something and retrace your work. The hybrid battery is sensitive to any faults including battery cooling fan faults.
the service [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) light is on, so if you have access to a code reader then pull the codes for me and I can tell you what they are saying.

no access to a code readerdo you mean like a QR code scanner?if so, what codes would i check?

I am referring to an OBD II code reader that plugs into the diagnostic port under drivers side of the dash.
also make sure the [headlights](/topics-headlight-toyota/) work and you didn't somehow accidentally drain the 12v battery.

the headlights are coming oni don't have access to the code reader

Yea, we have tried the most basic things that make sense here.
the next steps are really to retrace your steps or read codes.
I am obviously not there to visually inspect the vehicle which makes it more difficult to provide more guidance without any fault direction.

Since the noise appears to occur while turning, I would have your mechanic check for a loose or failing accessory drive belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/serpentine-drive-belt-replacement) (often called a 'serpentine" belt). Turning puts more load on this belt, and it may be slipping....
