I drive a 2008 Toyota [Camry](/topics-camry/). For a couple of weeks there was a loud rattling noise coming from under the hood. Now there is a grinding going on while driving. The "low [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) oil pressure" signal is flashing constantly.
Mechanic's Assistant: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
I am not exactly sure but it's near the engine.
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Camry yourself? What have you tried so far?
I am not fixing it myself. I have made sure that the fluids were all good but that's it.

Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I'm sorry your having problems with this vehicle so I'll try to help you with this issue. The website may prompt if you want a call, but that would be up to you. So you need to quit driving it and have it towed in an engine shop to have it checked , from what your saying it could be an oil pump issue, which can cause the problems you have said.

Do you know what the costs of this would look like? I'm trying to decide if it would be worth getting it towed.

Some where in the $850. to $950, depending if that is all it needs If you keep driving it the engine will likely be what it needs.
Still not sure what you need?
Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
Fuses are over current protection devices which means that you either have a short to ground (possibly intermittent) somewhere in the circuit or enough added resistance in the circuit that the current drawn by the pump is enough to blow...
Hi, thanks for writing in. This P0430 code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0430-obd-ii-trouble-code-catalyst-system-efficiency-below-threshold-bank-2-by-spencer-clayton) is for the bank B or driver side converter or the O2 sensor after the converter. The code will need to be diagnosed to isolate the problem to the sensor or...

Hello. This could mean the alternator is not charging the battery high enough or the battery will not accept and hold a charge. You may need to replace the battery first, then recheck the alternator charging system for proper operation....
Hello, thanks for writing in. If the engine is only stalling when coming to a stop, then it may be a defective crankshaft sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-crankshaft-position-sensor) that was installed or commonly this is caused by a dirty or failing throttle body....
Hi there. Check the conditions of when the engine is stalling out. Push the vehicle into a spot where you can start the engine and put the transmission in drive. Then see if the vehicle drives around. If the vehicle...
Hello. If you keep having to replace your headlights then that may be an indicator of a potential issue with the headlight electrical circuit. If there is excessive voltage or current running through the circuit it may cause excessive power...
What you are describing may be a sign of low transmission fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) or a faulty transmission control solenoid. As you know, automatic transmissions use pressurized hydraulic fluid to change gears. Every time a gear change is required, the car's...
