Mechanic's Assistant: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
It’s a 2012 [Camry](/topics-camry/) SE 4 cylinder
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Camry yourself? What have you tried so far?
I have a mechanic who works on my car. At first he thought it was the cv shaft axle because it sounded like a popping noise at high rates of speed but that wasn’t the issue.

Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. I am very Sorry that you are having this problem. Please allow me to assist you. First, a bit of insight here: CV joints do not make any 'air' type noises. A bad CV joint will make rattling noises only on turns at slow speeds. As long as the vehicle is accelerating, the CV joints a re'loaded", IE the acceleration of the vehicle holds the joint 'steady'.
Experience here on this issue: I would be looking for rust on the inside of the [brake](/topics-brake-toyota/) rotor faces if this vehicle was in my shop before anything else.

When we would make turns "specifically right turns" while accelerating, it makes the sound. While accelerating from a complete stop or accelerating past 45 mph, it also makes the sound. It sounds like wind flowing under the hood as if it wasn't closed all the wayI've also had my rotors and hub bearing changed in 2019

The rotors would be my first thing to look at; I would not know if they were replaced. Thanks for the input. Question: has the windshield ever been replaced, or, has the vehicle ever been in a frontal collision?

Another thing I forgot to include is sometimes when I come to a complete stop, the car will stalls or the [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) shutters like it wants to cut off. The sound will increase when that happens. Everything will be on but it won't accelerate. Once I turn it off and turn it back on, it works.

I would be looking for a vacuum leak at the intake manifold at this point in time. Sounds like you have a cracked vacuum hose on the intake manifold.

That's what we also suspected. For the car to shut off and engine to shutter, that makes a lot of sense

Make sure that the air tube that connects the [air filter](/topics-air-filter-toyota/) box to the throttle body on the front of the intake manifold is tight.

No windshield replacement. In 2014, there was an incident where we hit a couch that was dropped on the highway. The front bumper was damaged and was replaced. Other than that, no accidents

If any of that tubing is loose it will make weird noises.

Hello. Most of the time this is caused by a malfunction in the door lock switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/door-lock-switch-replacement). I have seen the switch short internally and cause this. I have also seen the control module for the locks fail, keeping them...
