BrandonMy check [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) light came on. I took it to a mechanic. He scanned the chip and it said the O2 sensor needed to be replaced. He showed me which one. I replaced it. Check engine light sTayed on so I disconnected the battery and it went off then 10 seconds later it came back on

That code is for bank 1 before the cat and is a heated 02 sensor. Which side sensor you changed?
The sensor that needed to be changed is on the passenger side before the cat.

Do a hard reset on your vehicle. You would need to disconnect both battery terminals for 30 minutes and touch both terminals together before placing them back on the battery post. Good luck. Also before you do that go to a nearest Autozone and make sure is the same code that you are getting.

Autozone scans vehicles for free, so I would just want to see if it is still the same code before I o the hard reset. You might have a different code present. If the same code is present then do the hard reset.
