Q: Squeaking Driveshaft.

asked by on January 18, 2017

Drive shaft squeaks with rotation in drive only. Replaced both U-joints. Still has same problem.

If you replaced the driveshaft joints and the shaft is still making noise when in drive then you may have binding joints. You may need to make sure the new joints are not binding from the installation. You can use a wooden block and hammer to hit the drive shaft near each joint cap. This will loosen the joint if it is binding.
