Unfortunately, the 2003 Saturn Vue with the 3.0L engine is in fact an interference engine. So, if the belt were to break while under load, there is a strong chance that the valves can be damaged. Given the year of the vehicle, and the fact that replacing the belt is almost a 5 hour job, and that Saturn went out of business years ago... it might not be worth the time and effort. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, Jim. It's never easy to tell someone it's not worth the repair to a vehicle.
