Hello - your rattling noise could be an engine heat shield, or sway bar link in the suspension that is being jostled on a bumpy road. I recommend a noise inspection performed by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will come to your location, diagnose this problem, and give you an accurate assessment of damage and cost estimate for repairs.

Wheel bearings fail often, what is the problem?
This is a common problem on 2005 and 2006 models. Subaru released a technical service bulletin (TSB 03-58-08) for this specific problem. According to the TSB, the rear wheel bearings may develop a noise over time, but that it does...
No dash lights or gauges

Hard shake a minute apart while car is in idle.
This could very well be the compressor coming on. Your A/C compressor puts a very heavy load on the motor, especially a smaller and lower horsepower motor like the 1.8L in your Honda Civic. When the compressor kicks on and...

Code P0705 - 2008 Ford F-150
As with most diagnostic trouble codes, code P0705 (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0705-obd-ii-trouble-code-transmission-range-sensor-circuit-malfunction-prndl-input-by-blake-griffin) does not necessarily identify failed parts. All you can assume with the code is that the PCM is not getting the signal it "expects" from the switch - no signal at...
I have really bad shaking in my tires when I drive between 20 and 70 mph
Several things could be causing the shake you're experiencing: tires out of balance, defective/worn tires, worn struts, worn control arm bushings, worn tie rods, wheel bearings (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/wheel-bearings-replacement) starting to fail, the list goes on. Start by having a local service...
Replaced sway bar links and bushings. Still making a clunking sound. Sway bar feels loose when pulled on and can hear the sound.
You should not be able to physically manipulate the sway bar. If you are able to do so, there is something wrong with the bar, the links, bushings, the attachment to the frame or other suspension components. Whatever the fault...
Unused car: disc brake pads clamped or rusted to brake rotor and wheels won't move , how to remove?
Hi - although the brake rotor is rusty, brake pad material is organic, and won't really "rust" to the rotor. Remove the brake caliper bolts, and use a sturdy pry bar to leverage the brake caliper off the rotor. This...
