This remote takes a CR2032 Battery. If you brought the battery from a CVS type store, they don't have a high turn around and these batteries do not have a good shelf life. I would suggest you try getting these batteries either from the dealer or an auto parts store and try another battery. If it still does not work, then you may have a issue with the remote. Are you saying the remote is not working because it doesn't lock and unlock the car? Will it start the car if you hold it over the start button?

So it is detecting you are next to the car so the handle works. It just won't work when you push the buttons on the remote?

RightBattery has been replaced

Try this and lets see what happens. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 to 20 mins. Then reconnect it and see if the remote returns to normal operation for me.
