Check engine light cames on couple days ago, I took it to auto zone and scanned it and came back with the code P219A I’m wondering if it’s something that can be fixed at home or should be taken in to a mechanic Not sure how serious it is or could be

My car has 75458 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Code P219A relates to a fuel/ai ration imbalance, which may be caused by any number of things such as faulty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, a faulty EGR valve, a faulty EVAP canister or intake leaks, creating a lean fuel condition in most cases. I would suggest having a professional from YourMechanic come to your location to take a look at the vehicle as this may require some specific diagnostic tests to narrow down the cause.

Truck is overheating even after replacements
Hello. It is possible that your heater core is clogged, which may cause a vehicle to overheat (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-causes-a-car-to-overheat). It is also possible that after having other components replaced, there could be air trapped in the cooling system. This may cause...
Can I replace my rear flat with a donut and leave it sit on the donut for several months before replacing?
The vehicle should be okay as long as it is not driven. The temporary spare (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-long-do-spare-tires-last) is designed to go only 50 miles. It does not have any time limit but only a mileage limit. It may need to be...

Oil relief valve issue shortly after oil was changed
I'm curious as to what "weight" of oil they put in. Most manufacturers now warn against using anything heavier than 10W30 for oil pressure relief valve (overpressure on cold start) reasons. While this is not common, overpressure due to a...
Can I swap steering columns? 1996 FORD Ranger

What is going on with my car?
Hi there. Check the fuel injectors and see if they are working or not. If the fuel injectors are not working, then you would need to replace the fuel injectors. If the fuel injectors are fine and the engine operates...
