Q: Acceleration problem

asked by on April 19, 2017

my car is slow to accelerate and kinda misfires.. it runs great once it is at a decent speed like 30mph. The car is fine when it is reversing, no misfiring or lagging.

My car has 196000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi There, A number of things may cause the car to hesitate when accelerating. This is commonly caused by a faulty fuel pump, a dirty or faulty mass air flow sensor, dirty or faulty fuel injectors or in some cases a bad throttle position sensor.
