Kevin, the first place to start is with purchasing or using a Mercedes benz capable scanner.
The iCarsoft MBv2.0 or MBII are great options for the price.
but anytime we get errors on the dash the first thing that needs done is checking for fault codes in the modules of the warnings you see on the dash.
everything is fixable, all depends on how much you can do outside of the dealer.
some things only the dealer can do.

Good information. I'll see if I can locate a scanner that's mb compatible.

it has to be one that does more than OBD2 and more than just SRS/[ABS](/topics-abs-mercedes/)/CEL
although that can be a start since your issue is with tractions and engine.

when you locate one and get codes, let me know and I can surely direct you to the fix.
