First, check to see if there is hydraulic fluid. Then check if you see a leak on the ground.

it takes 1.5 hours for a shop to do this job. You should not work on this job, if you have not done this before. You have the correct metric tools?

Well I’m not bad at the mechanic stuff I just really need it to be able to get it to where I need it to go I’m still 36 miles away from home

But if I can wait until tomorrow I can get the part from mazdaIdk if your familiar with the Bay Area or not but I’m in San Francisco but I live in concord martinez

Autozone has an aftermarket part but you will have to call them first.

Once the slave cylinder is replaced, you will have to bleed it to complete the job. Just like bleeding the brakes.
