They are correct that having an aftermarket unit installed will void the warranty - it is in all the fine print about alterations that void the warranty
As to installing the factory option, it can be done, but will end up costing more than if you had simply ordered/bought one with the option as retrofits once a vehicle leaves the factory require having to pull alot of the interior to run new wiring harness, install control module, and drop the headlinder to install some of the motor and anti pinch sensors.
Most dealers will not do these. You will need to call around to the Kia dealers near you to see if one would be willing to do this.
