Q: Jeep won't start due to alarm

asked by on March 23, 2016

My jeep won't start. The alarm system won't allow it to turn over and the WCM appears to have failed. I tried resetting the alarm by pulling the fuse, but nothing happened when I did.

The WCM (Wireless Control Module) or antitheft system has issues that it is affected by static discharge when you enter the key and it locks you out. The WCM/SKREEM (Sentry Key Remote Entry Module) will need to be replaced with the new part numbers and programmed using a factory scanner.
