Continued jump starting is not recommended due to both personal risks and the possibility of damaging the car’s electrical system. As far as the causes of the no start, if the issue is a discharged battery the alternator might not be properly recharging the battery, there might be a parasitic load on the car’s electrical system (when the vehicle is off) or, regardless of the state of charge of the battery, there could be a problem with the starter motor, or starter circuit. It’s possible to have a combination of these faults as well. All of those possibilities relate to electrical faults and so if you desire an on-site diagnostic to get this investigated and repaired, the recommended service to request is an electrical circuit/component diagnostic. Most of the initial tests are straightforward and it shouldn’t take too long to get to the root cause. If you request that service, the responding certified mechanic will get this diagnosed and resolved, right at your location. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic because we want you to make the most of your repair dollars and help you to get the best possible results.
