Q: Squealing sound
2004 Ford Mustang belt squeals and there is not enough tension. Does the whole belt tensioner need to be replaced or just the pulley that is attached to the tensioner?

Hello There, The drive belt tensioner may not need to be replaced if it is just the bearing inside the tensioner that is worn out, which is often times the case. As you may know, the tensioner pulley has a bearing inside of it that allows the pulley wheel to spin while putting pressure on the belt.
