Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Battery is new, I could clean the terminals I suppose
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Sonata yourself? What have you tried so far?
Nothing so far as it hasn't happened again and I did get any codes or engine light. Yes I usually fix my car myself
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
All spark plugs and wires have been replaced

Hello and welcome to Just Answer. I'm Paul, I will help you with your question today.
first thing I would try is clean the Mass Air flow sensor see location below.

For idle RPM problems you may have a problem with the idle air control see below.

Below is info on TPS.

I would start by checking the computer for fault codes and cleaning the mass air flow sensor.
if its running fine now without codes it might be hard to pinpoint which is failing.
If you need more help just reply, and let me know. When you are satisfied with my answer please remember to rate my answer. Positive feedback is also appreciated.
Thank you,
Paul

Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
The valve cover gasket is a rubber type seal that keeps oil from coming out of the engine. When the mechanic replaces the seal, they must clean the head surface thoroughly, wipe it down with brake cleaner, and dry the...
If you are talking about engine noise, that means that the engine is on its way out. That generally means that the bearings on the crank are worn and that the pistons are making the clunking around. Because, instead of...
Your vehicle's blower speed selector controls voltage to the blower motor using two different circuits. When high speed is selected the blower control switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/blower-motor-switch-replacement) bypasses the resistor and operates the blower relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/blower-motor-relay-replacement) sending full battery voltage from the...
This is something that may vary from state to state depending on where you live. You will need to check with the local department of transportation or highway patrol in your city or state's jurisdiction. Some states have vehicle inspection...
Hello - it will be OK to leave the glass cleaner in the windshield washer reservoir. You might want to add a bit of rubbing alcohol to it to prevent freezing during the winter months. (Maybe as much as 1/3...
If your engine is smoking white and has the smell of oil (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/smell-of-oil-in-car-inspection), then check for any oil leaks that would be leaking onto the exhaust pipe and burning off. The white smoke is water burning in the chamber and...
Check the fluid first for both level and quality. If the fluid is not dirty or burnt and the level is correct, shift problems of the type you are describing are caused by solenoid failures, a defective valve body, a...
Hi Antwan. It appears your question got cut off about the recall on your Honda. If you could, please write back and describe your question so we can give you the best possible advice. Thanks.
To determine if crash forces led to master cylinder failure you would have to determine exactly "what" failed within the master cylinder. If the master cylinder bore is scored or worn, for example, thus causing significant output pressure loss, that...
