How do I change the battery in the Intelligent Key?
Your car’s Intelligent Key is responsible for telling the computer that you’re an authorized driver. If the battery dies, then you’ll have to insert the key into the port to get your car to crank. Thankfully, replacing the battery is easy. Here’s what to do:
Unlock the mechanical key.
Remove the mechanical key.
With a flathead screwdriver, press into the slit in the corner.
Twist the screwdriver to separate the two halves.
Remove the old battery.
Replace it with a new battery (CR20232).
Put the remote back together and replace the mechanical key.
Verify that the key works.
