Q: hissing or air noise when i press gas

asked by on July 30, 2016

when I press the gas I hear a hissing or air noise

My car has 91000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You may need to check your air cleaner or intake tube for loose or cracked tubes, or the air filter housing might not be seated correctly. Try to duplicate the noise by manual operation of the throttle while you have the hood open, and listen to the noise to isolate its location.
