i've attempted the key relearning process and no luck there either

Sometimes the relearn procedure wont complete for different reasons. If not able to get the keys programmed, recommend having mobile mechanic or locksmith come out and attempt key programming with scan tool, and make sure there aren't any codes setting in any of the security modules.
