Do rims affect performance? or are they just a visual upgrade
When it comes to performance, the only real effect that new wheels could provide would be a weight reduction. Mostly they are just a visual upgrade. If the new wheels that you get for your vehicle are significantly lighter than the stock wheels, the total weight being moved buy your motor will be less, which will help make your acceleration faster. This will not be an extremely noticeable difference either. The only way to really feel a power increase from weight reduction would be to fully strip down the vehicle and remove a few hundreds of pounds.
