When the [blower motor](/topics-blower-motor-ford/) continuously runs and only on the highest setting, this is more commonly due to a faulty Blower Motor Resistor. The resistor is located under the passenger's side dash, mounted to the side of the blower motor. For an image location view, click here: <u><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3b3eQ30" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://bit.ly/3b3eQ30</a></strong></u>. To gain access, remove the passenger's side lower insulator panel. Inspect the electrical connector and wire harness for any loose, broken, damaged or burn wires. If no problems are found, replacing the resistor should solve the problem. To replace, unplug the electrical connector. Remove the 2 mounting screws. The resistor pulls out of the housing.
