Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the Freon level?
But sure but was told it was checked out goes to the green then back down to white
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Taurus yourself? What have you tried so far?
My friend said she replaced compressor added two cans of freon. Thinks it's the accumulator drier.
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Does she need a new [thermostat](/topics-thermostat-ford/)

You really would need to see what the ac numbers looked like when it was properly charged and running, now that its apart I would replace dryer and orifice tube , check flow on all components and flush components and lines, if flow and flush is good replace the 2 parts and your good to go.
Thanks for using JustAnswer and letting me help you. I hope I provided what you needed. If you find more help is still needed, let me know by listing out any remaining questions you have on this concern. I hope the remainder of your day is well.

Just checking in with you. Please let me know if you liked my answer, or need more help.
Still not sure what you need?
Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
Try to use another remote to see if the problem happens still with that remote. Sometimes the remote button sticks and only holding the button will allow the other buttons to work. If another remote is being used, make sure...
An engine that moves side to side in the engine bay can be commonly caused by defective motor mounts (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-long-do-engine-motor-mounts-last). If the motor mounts wear out or break, they will not be able to properly secure the motor in the...

Smelling gasoline on your dipstick is not a good thing, and neither is the buildup of soot on your spark plugs (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/spark-plugs-replacement). It sounds like you may have internal engine damage like a cracked or severely worn piston rings. I...
This may potentially be a poor engine running condition such as a lack of fuel delivery which could cause it to run poorly resulting in vibration. Are there any check engine lights on? If so, I would recommend having the...
Hi there. The problem with your transmission is the 1 to 2 shift accumulator has either a broken spring or a split o-ring on the piston. You can replace this very easily. Drop the pan and gasket. If you just...
This may be a result of a dirty or failing idle air control valve. The idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) reads the air intake as it is mixed with fuel prior to being injected into the engine at low speeds...
Hi there. It is highly probable that the replacement of the sensor did not resolve the error code. When the P0336 diagnostic trouble code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0336-obd-ii-trouble-code-crankshaft-position-sensor-a-circuit-range-performance-by-jamahl-walker) has been stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM), it is an indication that the...
There are a couple of things that usually will produce a whining noise from the drive belt area. A failing water pump (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/water-pump-replacement) will produce a whining noise, which will typically be accompanied by overheating or coolant leaking as a...
