Hi Ronnie. Nice to see you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating. Ronnie, do you also have a Check [Engine](/topics-engine-ford/) Light set?

Thanks for holding, Ronnie.
From what you are describing here, this sounds like it will be the case of a problem in the EVAP (emissions control/recovery) System. This warning sets when the on-board computer sees the system is not holding pressure. And it assumes the reason is the problem is the inlet not sealing correctly, resulting in a leak. This will not be the case of a failing Converter. First thing to do here is to use a funnel and open and close the 'flap' located at the top of the fuel filler neck (where you put the fuel dispenser nozzle). Move this flap a few times and make sure it is sealing correctly. If this does not solve the problem, then the next course of action is to have the EVAP system "smoked". This is where a machine forces smoke through the system and any leaks can then be more easily found and repaired.

Can resetting the flap itself possibly fix the issue?

Yes. That's why I suggested doing that first.

Question: it needs gas. Could my simply putting the gas nozzle in several times correct the issue?

It 'can' but you really don't want to be banging the metal dispenser nozzle against the inlet. It'd be a lot safer to use something plastic, like a funnel, as I mentioned above.

Hi there. Sounds like you might be having an internal transmission issue. Automatic transmissions have many sensors and solenoids as well as valves, bands and clutches that are responsible for proper operation. Transmissions can set codes just like the engine,...
Hi there. There are several electrical and ignition components on a 2007 Mini Cooper that could cause the symptoms you're describing. The ignition coil (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-coil-replacement) would be the first item I'd inspect, but before I touched any part, I'd complete...

Hi there: On a four cylinder or small six cylinder engine, accelerating the engine past 4,000 RPM on a consistent basis is not a good idea. The power band on lower gears tops out around the 4,500 to 5,000 RPM...
This may be a sign of low transmission fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) or a faulty transmission control solenoid. As you know, automatic transmissions use pressurized hydraulic fluid to change gears. Every time a gear change is required, the car's computer activates a...

This suggests you may have a leak resulting from a failing gasket somewhere in your engine. As you know, there are many different places in your motor that are sealed by gaskets. I would suggest narrowing this down by placing...
