I runs fine in Park, neutral, and reverseMy sister said her Ford did the same thing but it was just some type of sensor and not her [transmission](/topics-transmission-ford/)Are you there??

This could be a few things but I would take a scan tool and monitor the torque converter lockup and make sure it isn't locked when you put it in gear. This would kill the [engine](/topics-engine-ford/). Also I would monitor the crank signal and make sure it isn't dropping out. That is where I would start.

Ok. Is there anything else it could be??

Monitoring what I mentioned will help you diagnose it. Could be the crank sensor.

How do you set the zone on the electronic compass?
If your vehicle is equipped with an electronic compass, it can provide you with important information about which direction you’re driving in. However, because true north and magnetic north actually aren’t the same in most parts of the world, you’ll...
2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo won't stay running
Hello. Problems such as these can be caused by many things. Anything ranging from a bad vacuum leak, to a faulty idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) will cause symptoms such as these. As engine performance problems can many times be...
Idles high without accelerating
Hello. Thanks for writing in about your 2002 GMC Safari. There are several components that may be causing this problem. There could be a bad throttle position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-position-sensor-replacement), a throttle cable (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-control-cable-replacement) that is sticking, or a vacuum leak....
I feel a bit of hesitation when slowly rolling forward, but not when accelerating quickly.
Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle could be hesitating for several different reasons. The first thing to check would be the air intake system. This would include the air filter and air intake sensors. The sensors are best...

The anti-theft system has been activated and if you turn on the ignition and see the theft light on or blinking then it is active and may need to be scanned using a dealer level or equal scanner that is...
No codes, vibration at idle
I might recommend using a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank and some Seafoam in the oil. Those together will normally smooth out any rough idle that can be fixed with cleaners.
Car is jerking at 45-50 then vibrates at 50 and jerks again 50-55 then drives smooth at 60 mph and in reverse jerks sometimes
What you are describing may be a result of a faulty speed sensor, potentially low transmission fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) or a even a faulty transmission control solenoid. As your vehicle travels down the road, the computer analyzes data being sent by...
