Hi I have a 2010 Ford Fiesta and it is overheating all I can see is the the ac pump is not turning could this be the problem?.
Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the [coolant](/topics-coolant-ford/)? Have you checked for a leak in the cooling system?
I’ve topped the coolant up twice and it still disappears when driving as far as I know there are no leaks in the system all I know is the ac pump is not turning
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Fiesta yourself? What have you tried so far?
I’m just trying to find out the cause I can turn the ac pump by hand and it run for a little while and the stops
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
I just need to find out if the pump not working is causing the coolant to disappear in steam

No the compressor would not cause overheating if it's not turning. If you keep having to add coolant then you have a leak somewhere. If the coolant is low then the [engine](/topics-engine-ford/) will overheat. You'll need to pressure test the cooling system to see where it's leaking. You can then repair the leak.
My goal is to give you the best service possible and to help you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. If I’m not online at the time, I will respond ASAP when I get back.
