Engine is shaking, pulsating or vibrating

Hello, thank you for writing in. The most common reason an engine is shaking or vibrating, is because there is a misfire happening inside the cylinders. This may be a sign of a spark issue, fuel issue, or air intake issue. This can also be caused by contaminated fuel or an issue with the piston firing. Typically if the engine is performing okay, but the engine seems to be jumping and moving, then you have an issue with the engine mounts. Without knowing the make and model of the vehicle, it is hard to tell you what kind of problems you may be having. Diesel and carbureted engines will have a different set of guidelines then most modern gasoline engines on the road today. For help with an inspection and resolving the issue, contact our service department to schedule an appointment.

I would have the battery tested by a certified technician such as one from Your Mechanic. It sounds like the battery may be dead (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-is-dead-inspection) but they also need to determine if the charging system is working correctly. Yes, its telling you that the engine is running too lean, but there is not an adjustment that you can make. When this happens it is because...
