Mechanic's Assistant: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking?
Same that came with the van no leaking and recent filter and fluid change
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Caravan yourself? What have you tried so far?
No trying to find out whats wrong with it so i can get someone to fix it
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
I was told that it could be a transmission solenoid or sensors going bad

Sorry, our power went out for a few minutes.
Okay, when braking do you feel like the engine mounts could be bad like engine rock?
To check: E [Brake](/topics-brake-dodge/) on the left foot on brake select D and rev up the engine and the R do the same have one check under the hood when you do this the engine should only very slightly rock if it rocks too much check engine mounts.

Okay, so just a hard downshift?
Need to get hooked up to a scan tool and check for Malfunction codes as a bad input speed sensor will cause this issue.
so first check for (TCM) transmission codes.
