Please click on the link to view the pdf flle and the charging circuit of your 08 ram 3500 I have highlighted
Please notice the connection of the alternator and the PCM ,2 wires from alternator to PCM , A Brown/grey wire & a Blk or Red wire , The charging & regulator of the alternator is built n the PCM, this a PCM controlled circuit
no voltage regulator in the alternator,if you overcharging, not charging or under charging and batt, alternator and wiring checks out between alt & PCM ,that leaves PCM defective & causing this issue
let me know if you can view the pdf file & wiring circuit
What is the mileage on it ?

Ok thank you for info
Check the wiring between alternator and PCM, if the continuity test passes,u move to PCM connectors pins, look for evidence of melting or burn inside the PCM connectors,if good, then replace PCM
The circuit i sent you and capable tech with a voltmeter can confirm issues for you
and these PCM needs to be programmed to the vehicle if replaced using ford scanner or equivalent or you send them out for a rebuild if no scanner available to you and you get ot back preprogrammed,no scanner needed then
Still not sure what you need?

These codes...
