Thank you Jessica. What size engine does it have? Is the check engine light on? Are there any codes in the computer?

Thank you. You're gonna want to start by getting the codes in the computer red using a compatible scan to our code reader. This will likely reveal the root cause of the stalling condition or something like it wants to die or stall out. This could be a misfire condition caused by faulty tuneup components, low compression or possibly the fuel system issue like faulty injectors or fuel pump. Some of the more common causes would include an evaporative emissions system malfunction, engine misfire condition, [oxygen sensor](/topics-oxygen-sensor-dodge/) or air fuel ratio sensor, air or vacuum leak, throttle body or even wiring issue (or even a blown fuse). The only way to know which code or codes are stored in the computer is to hook up a scanner or code reader and extract codes the stored, pending or history codes in the computer. You can do this yourself if you have access to a scan tool or or code reader. If not, you can have this done at your local auto parts store. Many will do this for free. In addition, some auto repair shops will do this for cheap or free depending on the situation or their business model. I would start by checking with your local auto parts stores if you do not have one of these tools. (You can even purchase them on amazon for as little as $20 or $25 bucks). Extracting the codes in the computer is going to be the first step. Trying to fix the vehicle without knowing the exact codes in the computer would not be an efficient way to diagnose this condition as there could be hundreds of possible causes. Once you are able to get the codes in the computer please feel free to reply back me so we can continue this conversation and I will be happy to continue assisting you as needed. Glad I can help. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
