Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle may be experiencing one of several different issues. The first thing to consider is the quality of the replacement you purchased. Re-manufactured CV joints are not terribly uncommon. When you purchase the next one, make sure it is a different brand or of higher quality. If it is under warranty, you will want to return it for a refund or replacement. If the vehicle’s tires are misaligned, unbalanced, damaged, or otherwise adding stress to the other components, you may have CV joint failure. The stability of the engine and the engine mounts also has an effect on the system. Further testing needs to be done. For more help finding the cause and replacing the CV joint, contact our service department.

Wiring to fuel pump is dead
I'm guessing you mean there is no power to the fuel pump sending unit. With the ignition switch in the crank position, power flows through a fuse to the fuel pump relay. The powertrain control module (PCM) then closes this...
Drove car, stopped, tried to restart and no sound.
Your anti thief system is most likely the cause of the no start. The system is likely not recognizing the key. You should try the extra second key. If it does not work, then you may need to have the...
I installed a new crankshaft positioning sensor, now I'm getting misfires and code P0300. Is this supposed to happen?
Assuming you replaced your vehicle's crankshaft position sensor for a P0335 trouble code and that code has not returned, this leads me to believe that the new sensor is either faulty or misadjusted. The sensor replacement should not have caused...
If the rear impact bar and energy bar are broken from a rear-end collision, is the car roadworthy and safe?

Steering wheel won't lock. Yellow steering lock warning on dash. Only comes on when removing fob.
Hi there. The issue seems to be the shifter interlock solenoid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/shifter-interlock-solenoid-replacement) may be malfunctioning causing the steering wheel lock to not release or not engage. I suggest having the computer scanned for any codes that would be stored or...

My truck is slow on take off
Slow acceleration (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-slow-to-accelerate-inspection) has a variety of causes. Fuel injectors can become clogged over time as the tiny passages become clogged. When an injector is clogged it can degrade the performance of the vehicle and the car may accelerate slowly...
My car shut off while at a stoplight. I got it started only for it to shut off agin. It starts then shuts off.
Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle is stalling due to an electrical issue (typically pertaining to power supply or a sensor), a lack of fuel, or a failure with the ignition (spark) system. You will want to start...
02 Mitsubishi Lancer, no signal to injectors from ecm. Will the crank or cam sensor cause this? How do I check if it that or ecm?
You're right in that the crank sensor (CKP) is the primary trigger for the injection pulse. But the only way to reliably check the CKP output is with a scope. If you don't have a scope, all you can check...
