Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
I had a misfire that caused the check engine light to blink. It turned off after blinking. This made me buy the injector cleaner. It has not happened again since that one time.

OK since the engine light came on and was flashing that is telling you its a misfire and the cause is usually a bad coil .I would change the plugs and find which cylinder was misfiring as a code will still be stored like p0301 . Once this is fixed it will take care of the issue. If you need more help please use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, please consider rating me as 5 STAR!! It is much appreciated. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question. Stay Safe !!! Bonuses greatly appreciated.

Hello. If the engine seems to run fine under normal driving conditions and only makes this noise when you let off of the gas then this may not be an engine problem. Most of the time it is either a...
Hello! If there was a loud ticking noise you may have some internal engine damage. But I wouldn't go replacing the lifters just yet. I would recommend checking what is leaking (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-diagnose-a-fluid-leak-by-mark-vallet) first. If you're doing the upper gasket it...

From your explanation of the situation, it sounds to me like your vehicle may need a new clutch. If you are in gear and the vehicle struggles to move and the engine speed increases, the transmission is slipping. A failure...
Hi There, This may be a sign of a faulty fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-pressure-regulator-replacement). As you know, when you turn the key to on, the fuel pump (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-pump-replacement) is activated and the fuel system is primed with...

You can get an exact quote by entering your year, make and model at YourMechanic's oil pan gasket replacement service page (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/oil-pan-gasket-replacement). To give you an approximation though, the required hours are probably in the range of 8 to 12...
