I got an esc service light on

The ESC system is all tied into the Antilock [brake](/topics-brake-chrysler/) system, so when either of those lights come on then the ABS module needs to be scanned for fault codes. Once we know the code we will know where to look for the issue. The most common things we find are bad wheel speed sensors and steering angle sensors. So, if you can get the codes and reply back here, then we can go forward from there.

Will a nearby auto parts check these codes for me?

Unfortunately, their code readers only read [engine](/topics-engine-chrysler/) codes, not abs ones.
