Q: Chrysler 300c is misfiring and won't stay running but no lights are on

asked by on November 24, 2017

Car starts but misfires and then dies. There are no lights on indicating anything

My car has 136000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It is possible that you could have an issue with fuel delivery to the engine. It is also possible that you have a check engine light and the check engine light itself is burned out. I would recommend having your vehicle inspected by a qualified professional to determine the exact cause of this issue. Consider YourMechanic as this can be done at your home or office.

Will a home code reader/scanner let me fix my car?
Aftermarket code readers and scanners cannot, by themselves, be used to fix your car. The scanner is used to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the various control modules on the vehicle. Hello. Thanks for writing in about your 1999 GMC K1500 Suburban. When I take off from a stop I hear a banging noise 2013 Jeep Wrangler V6
Hello - there are a couple of possibilities for the noise you hear upon acceleration (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/noise-coming-from-torque-converter): a broken torque converter (internal failure), engine shifting due to broken motor mounts and fan hitting something, transmission shifting due to broken mounts, allowing...
I smell gas and it blows white smoke out of the exaust.
Hi There, There are a number of things that can cause poor fuel mileage. A faulty camshaft position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/camshaft-position-sensor-replacement) is one of them. The camshaft position sensor is a magnetic sensor that monitors camshaft speed to regulate ignition timing...
